This book is a short try to unveil the hidden realities of female domestic workers working in the informal sector of Dhaka city.This research has found that there is a direct link between female labor force and the informal sector.Informal sector is a area of feminized labor. Moreover in case of domestic labor most of the domestic workers are women and staying in a horrible condition. Furthermore through the intersectional lens it is clearly found that there is a direct power relation between two women as well as domestic worker and her female employer. This research explores how the intersection of gender with class, culture, sex, shapes different experiences for different categories women as employer and employee in domestic service.

Autorentext

Shejuti Hayat has done her graduation and Post-graduation from Department of Women and Gender Studies, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She is a free lancer researcher. She has done researches on informal sector and religious representation. Her area of interest is gender and development and gender in representation.
