This book presents several contributions to improve the overall performance of the cooperative communication in the decentralized networks. It emphasizes on the development of the new relay selection protocol for enhancing the outage probability and spectral efficiency of the cooperative communication. The book also studied the effect of cooperative communication on the throughput and delay. Finally, the book considered power allocation problem of the source and relay to maintain the bit error rate of cooperative communication.
