Relevance of Just-in-Time (JIT) Manufacturing System in Nigeria

Emphasis on the optimum use of resources has been stressed in manufacturing firms to ensure improved quality of manufactured products, maximize profit as well as ensure timely delivery of raw materials and finished products. The purpose of this book is to provide means to achieve the aforementioned objectives with the aid of Just-in-Time (JIT) manufacturing system. JIT will help manufacturing firms optimize their resources using JIT analysis tools like Excel Solver, TORA, AHP etc. to solve optimization problems. This book will also be useful to students who want to broaden their horizon on JIT's application in the manufacturing sector.

Obinna studied Business Administration (B.Sc.) and Operations Research (M.Sc.) both from the University of Lagos, Nigeria. His vast interest in research focuses on Just-in-Time Manufacturing and The Use of Excel Solver for Optimization.
