Religious Humor

This book analyzes and demonstrates humor, irony and satire in various aspects of religious society in Israel: ironic statements by Yemenite immigrants who established themselves in Israel but still have difficulty accepting the country's modern reality; religious-female humor whose role is to empower religious women, and satire on religious life in Israel, which aims to encourage the discourse between religious and secular in Israel and bring them closer together. The book opens a window to the multicultural and diverse society in 21st century Israel.

La Dra. Bat Zion Yemini es profesora titular del Levinsky College de Israel y ha sido directora del Departamento de Lengua.
