The major concern of any company is to build a human resources management model capable of attracting the best skills, retaining them and, above all, motivating them to serve its sustainable development and competitiveness. The question of compensation is, by nature, at the very foundation of personnel management practices. However little developed it may be, all Human Resources Management is organized around the employment contract and the exchange that it establishes between the work provided and the salary awarded. With this in mind, the Dakar Port Authority has created a control and verification office within the payroll department, responsible for controlling and verifying the elements of the payroll before and after validation of salaries. Indeed, through this control system, the port authority aims to ensure compliance with procedures and regulations in force in order to prevent disputes or other risks that could arise from malfunctions in payroll management.
