Renal Patient Education and Treatment Regimens

Does Structured Patient Education Increase Knowledge In End Stage Renal Disease And Improve Compliance With Treatment Regimens? The study findings suggested a structured program design may not meet the needs of many of the patients who receive dialysis. Treatment programs need to be designed to encompass the needs of all patient groups with an emphasis on self management, in order to provide adequate health care and maximise clinical outcomes.

I was born in Wales in 1958 and started my nursing career at aged 17. I migrated to Australia in 1987 and commenced at university after a 10 year break from nursing. I commenced work at Royal Perth Hospital in 1991 and completed a Bachelor of Nursing in 1992, Post Grad Dip in Mental Health in 1999 and a Masters of Nursing by research in 2009.
