Repentance in the Book of Revelation
Details
Many works have been done on the Book of Revelation, focusing on the themes such as judgment, vengeance, the Second Coming, and worship. Strangely, in spite of the significant occurrence of the verb metano o, "to repent," in Revelation, repentance has been discussed only as a subsidiary theme in the book. In fact, the exegetical analysis of the passages on repentance in Revelation demonstrates that repentance is connected to all other themes. This book highlights repentance as a main theme in Revelation and brings out the significance of repentance not only in the context of the first century A.D., but also along the historical timeline up to the eschaton. Utilizing a unique approach to the topic, this book stimulates critical analysis of Bible students and provides thought-provoking devotional for all Christians.
