Reproductive Potential of Eulophia herbacea and Eulophia ochreata

It is well known that orchids have been used all over the world traditionally for curing many diseases. It is marked that the tribal people habitual for their use do not disclose their knowledge about medicinal plants. Knowledge of different ethnopharmacological studies, linking of the indigenous knowledge of medicinal orchids to modern research activities provides a new reliable approach, which makes the chances of drug discovery much more effective in modern western medicine. In this perspective, orchids can be utilized as the potential resources for many ever demanding life saving drugs. Present approach is simple, ecofriendly and has a very high efficacy towards the reproductive activities and the isolated product may serve the mankind. In nutshell trials on human have been performed without animal trials. Fulfillment of this lacuna by defining the clinical trials on animal models will be the aim of this write up.
