Research and innovation-intensive clusters: the contribution of Embrapa

Since the end of the 20th century and particularly nowadays, the concept of a cluster, a geographical agglomeration of interconnected companies in specific and/or related segments, has attracted the attention of governments and scholars as a solution to issues relating to the competitiveness of nations in factors such as economic generation, which has had a strong impact on employment opportunities, especially in developing countries such as Brazil, largely due to the competitive success achieved by these local productive arrangements in the global market.

He has a degree in Business Administration from the University Centre of Bahia (2003) and a master's degree in Public Policy Management and Social Security from the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia (2014).
