Residents' Safety Perception in Gated Communities in Osogbo, Nigeria

Residents in most urban settlements respond to crime through different means like installation of surveillance gadgets, fencing, street gates, among others, which have not adequately reduced crime and residents' fear of crime. This book presents crime prevention through environmental design and social participation essential pillars to policing and crime detection. Fear of crime is more killing than crime itself.
