This book, which is highly recommended for the students of literature, delivers some essential information about the devastated condition of black people, especially, the Black Women who have suffered for many years from masculine suppression in hands of both black men and white ones; these two groups of men do every thing to impose their power on the Black Women but it comes to nothing when Black Women are capable and they can create a good atmosphere for themselves, first by helping each other and second by offering resistance. Moreover; they subvert the one-sided power and make their efforts to balance it. Finally what is achieved between two is not pain but Mutual Love.
