Resource Mobilization and Business Sustainability
Details
The retail sector is one of the fastest growing sectors of the economy. These self-service stores are necessary outlets that ensure there is continuous flow of goods to consumers. However there is a lot of competition in this sector, creating the need for the stores to acquire more resources in order to sustain their operations. Many stores do exhibit remarkable inadequacies in resource mobilization making it difficult for them to remain in business. These inadequacies in resource mobilization were found to render these stores uncompetitive hence unsustainable. The purpose of this book therefore, was to identify those factors that lead to reduced resource mobilization by self-service stores, examine the effects of those factors and suggest ways of improving resource mobilization function amongst self-service stores. it is hoped that if the factors leading to inadequate resource mobilization are overcome then there will be a very high likelihood that self-service stores will sustain their operations.
