This book claims that CSR is the Tao of sustainable enterprise development. It examines the intersection of practical wisdom of Taoism, CSR and Sustainability, looking at the theoretical and historical implications associated with a Taoist approach to CSR, sustainability and responsible leadership. Implications for sustainable enterprise development will be presented. The book analyzes perspectives found in Taoist classical texts and within the larger Chinese cultural context in order to delineate key issues found in the classical texts. Through these analyses, the book assesses the applicability of modern-day Taoism thought and practice in China and the West with respect to the contemporary sustainability situation. Autorentext

Dr. Liangrong Zu is a specialist in corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate social entrepreneurship, business ethics, sustainability, and Taoist leadership. He has been working for the United Nations and central government for over 25 years. Currently he is a senior program officer for business management and leadership development, teaching and doing research at International Training Centre of the International Labour Organization (ILO). Dr. Zu holds a PhD in business and management from Nottingham University Business School, specializing in CSR, sustainable enterprise development, social entrepreneurship and sustainable leadership. Dr. Zu is the author of many books in the area of CSR and sustainable leadership.
