Contributors from diverse disciplinary, ideological, and theoretical perspectives, examine the multiple aspects and dimensions of globalization. By employing a variety of methodological approaches, the authors provide insights into the role of numerous agents in furthering the process and project of present and future globalization(s), as manifested in economic, political and cultural domains. Furthermore, they address the impacts of globalization in nation-states, emancipatory feminist and environmental movements, and migrant communities, as well as identify their participation in and opposition to the phenomena of globalization.

PREET S. AULAKH is Assistant Professor of International Business at Michigan State University. His previous work on international entry modes, strategic alliances and technology licensing has appeared in various journals such as Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of Marketing and Journal of International Marketing.

MICHAEL G. SCHECHTER is a Professor of International Relations at James Madison College of Michigan State University. His research and teaching interests focus on global governance and foreign policy decision-making. His most recent published works include editing Innovation in Multilateralism (1998) and The Future of Multilateralism: The Political and Social Framework (1998). He is also the author of the Historical Dictionary of International Organizations (1998).
