Review On Periodontal Dressings

Periodontal dressing materials are used in the mouth for a variety of purposes.key functions are: 1.Protection of a wound site following periodontal surgery. 2.Prevention of post-operative haemorrhage and infection. 3.Retention of an apically repositioned flap by preventing coronal displacement Provide additional support to stabilize a free gingival graft. 4.Denuded bone can be protected from further injury by a dressing during the early phase of healing. This book is formulated with the intention of covering all materials used as periodontal dressing with their advantages and disadvantages from the time it came into use till present era.

Graduated in 2009 from Government Dental College (GDC) Rohtak, Haryana, India and went on to complete my Masters in the specialty of periodontics from Subharti Dental College, Meerut, U.P, India. Currently working in Oscar super specialty hospital, Rohtak as an oral heath Consultant and at various dental clinics in Rohtak and Delhi-NCR.
