Attention to appearance in the social context is normal, desirable, and even balanced in terms of mental health, but in today's society it has taken on an extreme form due to overemphasis. Cosmetic surgery involves performing all facial cosmetic surgeries, including nose, eyelid, eyebrow, cheek, forehead, neck and body beauty, which may be reduction (such as fat removal) or augmentation (prosthesis placement). In general, cosmetic surgery refers to surgeries that are performed without the need for special medicine and only for cosmetic purposes. Because cosmetic surgery is performed to change the appearance of people and increase their satisfaction and self-confidence, cosmetic surgery can be considered the result of a certain psychological pattern. Under favorable conditions, these patients seek psychotherapy to understand the true nature of their neurotic feelings of inadequacy. Cosmetic surgery, which is used to improve the appearance, is a specialty that repairs, maintains or improves the physical appearance of a person through surgical and medical techniques and has increased dramatically in the last decade.
