Rigid Internal Fixation

Rigid internal fixation is a surgical procedure that precisely reduces and immobilizes bone fractures with metal implants to allow healing. Intermaxillary fixation, with or without open reduction, is the mainstay of traditional fixing techniques for stabilizing mandibular fractures.
