Risk Factors of Teenage Pregnancy & Parenthood

The present study was carried out in Chandragiri Mandal of Chittoor District. The study area lies at a distance only 20 km from Tirupati and 50 km from the district head quarter of Chittoor. The study was conducted in Chandragiri, the villages selected were B.D, colony, Kota, J.R.K.R Area, Venkatampeta, Rayalapuram, Thondawada, K.Sanambatla, P.Sanambatla, Ithepalle, Augural, Kotala, and P.N.Palli. The sampling unit for the study was married teenage and young mothers who gave birth to a child in their teenage. The age group consists of 15-25 years rural women. The sample of 100 teenage mothers from the villages of Chandragiri mandal was selected by using purposive sampling method and snow-ball technique.
