Rivea ornata, commonaly known as Phag, is a found in southern India. In this present work, Arthritic activity, anti-inflammatory activity, analgesic activity, antioxidant and antibacterial activity carried out.For arthritic activity CFA induced arthritic model used. Histopathology study done and body weight was measured.The present study is investigation of the pharmacological activities of this plant using carrageenan-induced rat paw edema, formalin, hot plate and writhing tests in rodents. The objective of this research is to determine the analgesic activity of Rivea ornata Roxb.total alkaloids extracts on induced pain in experimental animals.In vitro antioxidant activity done by DPPH radical scavenging activity and Ferric chloride reducing assay.Antibacterial study was also done in this research work. Present work was under taken for detail study on Pharmacognostical, Phytochemical, and Pharmacological activities of plant Rivea ornata Roxb.
