Road 47 is a road connecting Isfahan to Arak and Hamedan and Zanjan in Iran. Hamed n or Hamad n (Persian: , Old Persian: Hagmatana, Ancient Greek: Ecbatana) is the capital city of Hamadan Province of Iran. It had an estimated population of 550,284 in 2005. Hamadan is believed to be among the oldest Iranian cities and one of the oldest in the world. Hamadan has a green mountainous area in the foothills of the 3574-meter Alvand Mountain, in the midwest part of Iran. The city is 1850 meters above sea level. Road 43 is a road in Khuzestan, Iran connecting Mahshahr to Shiraz-Ahvaz main Road and to Ramhormoz. Mah Shahr is an ancient city and port in the Khuzestan province in southwestern Iran. Originally known as Reyshahr and then Machuleh and Mahrouyan, it eventually came to be known as Bandar-e Ma'shoor. The name changed again in 1965, this time to Bandar-e Mah Shahr. The word Mah-shahr is Persian and means "city of the moon". The city's port is one of the most important in Iran, exporting gas and refinery products from Abadan.
