Roadside Wastes

Roadside wastes has demeaned the image of most cities around the world and has led to underdevelopment especially in the third world countries. Investors/Business personnel are looking for better environments to establish their businesses, attract clients and promote economic growth. This paper aims to contribute towards waste free cities by assessing the sources of the roadside wastes, their impacts and finally proposing proper, feasible and sustainable mitigation measures. It is therefore suitable for individuals committed to making their surroundings a better place and also to students who want to research the field of environment especially roadside waste management.

Elmah O. Geoffrey ist Absolvent der Universität von Nairobi (57. Graduierungsfeier) mit einem Erstklassigen Ehrendiplom in BSc. Sein Interesse gilt dem Management von Agrarökosystemen und der Umwelt. Derzeit absolviert er einen MSc in Umweltmanagement am Institut für Friedens- und Umweltstudien (Wangari Maathai) derselben Universität.
