High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Robert Barry Eaton (born: - died: ) was a politician from Alberta, Canada. Eaton was first elected to the Alberta Legislature in the 1921 Alberta general election. He defeated former Conservative leader Albert Robertson who was attempting to re-win a seat in the Assembly. Eaton served in the Liberal government as a backbencher. Eaton was acclaimed in the 1917 Alberta general election under section 38 of the Elections Act. The section stipulated that an incumbent member may not be challenged and returned automatically in his district if he is involved with the Canadian Forces overseas in World War I. In the 1921 Alberta general election Eaton would be defeated by George Forster from the United Farmers of Alberta. Eaton would attempt to run for a seat in the Canadian House of Commons running in the 1925 Canadian federal election. He would be defeated by Incumbent member Robert Gardiner.
