Robotics, Artificial Intelligence and Mechatronics

A robot is a machine that gathers information about its environment and uses that information to follow instructions to do some sort of work. The robot control system directs the motion and sensory processing of a robot. The many types of robotic systems include robotic manipulators, robotic hands, mobile robots, walking robots, aids for disabled persons, tele-robots, and microelectro-mechanical systems. Robotics Engineers study electronics, computer science, artificial intelligence, mechatronics, nanotechnology, and bioengineering. Robots and artificial intelligence (AI) bring exciting opportunities to industries, promising to make our future more automated and efficient. Robotics is that field concerned with the connection of perception to action. Artificial Intelligence must have a central role in Robotics if the connection is to be intelligent.Indeed Artificial neural networks have been widely used in mobile robot navigation for many decades. We are quickly approaching the ability to create a synchronized reality, and with the development of these technologies, the things we thought impossible could soon be part of our daily lives.

Dr. Wassila ISSAADI is a Doctor of Sciences in the Department of Automatics, Electronics and Electrical Engineering, Univ. of Bejaia, Algeria and received her Doctorat (PhD)degree in September 2016 at the age of 25 years. She obtained Magister degree in 2013 and the diploma of state engineer in 2011. Her current research interests include robotics.
