Roehm Middle School (RMS), was named after Frederick Roehm, a German man who moved to Berea and became the dean when it opened in 1957. There was an addition to the school in 1994. The school is currently a jounior high. and the athletic teams were the Roehm Bucks. The mascot was replaced with a Raptor in the mid-1990s. Its colors are blue and yellow. Almost all students who attend this school ultimately attend Berea High School. The current principal is Jason A. Niedermeyer. The current assistant principal is Mr. Russell T. Krivak. The school has 7th and 8th grade football, basketball, wrestling, track and cross country for male students. In addition to cheerleading, female students can participate in volleyball, basketball, softball, track and cross country.
