Rogelio C. Melencio (September 27, 1939-1995), also known as Tembong Melencio, was a former Filipino basketball player and coach. Melencio was born in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. He played for Concepcion Industries in the Manila Industrial and Commercial Athletic Association. Melencio also appeared at the Olympic Games as a member of the country's national basketball team. The men's national basketball team of the Philippines won a bronze medal in the 1954 FIBA World Championship for men and a fifth-place finish in the 1936 Summer Olympics, the two best finishes of any Asian team in the history of the top two international basketball tournaments. Its national basketball federation is the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP).
