Role of a developed Reward system on employee Retention

The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of Reward on employee retention in the education sector by focusing on the case of Secondary Schools in Kisii Central District.Factor analysis was used to determine the contribution of each variable on employee retention.The findings of the study were that; all the employees were aware of the existence of Reward. About half of the number of employees in Secondary Schools in Kisii Central District would leave their employer if they were given an opportunity of a higher rank in another organization. Reward contributed to performance in their schools. The researcher concluded that a developed reward policy should be formulated and used across all schools.
