Details

This book contains information about pancreatic radiological anatomy, pathology as well as the basics of physics of diffusion weighted MRI. It also contains a study upon the value of combination of conventional MRI with DWI considering the differentiation between pancreatic benign and malignant lesions. All images of our study were obtained from patients radiology department, Cairo University, as well as in a private center. All are on 1.5 Tesla MRI. Patients were subjected to proper history taking, conventional MRI and DWI.The study was performed between August 2012 and April 2014. Thus we discovered the value of combination of conventional MRI to functional diffusion weighted imaging regarding the characterization of pancreatic benign and malignant lesions. I am extremely grateful to all my professors who supported me in this work as well as the support of the co-authors of this work.
