Role of Methylprednisolone & Serratiopeptidase in Third Molar Surgery

Surgical removal of third molars is considered as one of the routine aspects of oral and maxillofacial surgery. The development of a localized acute inflammatory response occurs in all patients immediately after the removal of impacted third molars. These symptoms can be adequately minimized by drug therapy. This textbook draws an insight into the role of methylprednisolone and serratiopeptidase in reduction of postoperative sequelae after third molar surgery.
