Role of Motivation for Effectiveness of Medical Specialist

This research address issues, approaches and methods in the motivation of medical professionals in hospital. It used a survey on 275 medical specialists working in four hospitals in Sofia. The aim of the study is to increase the efficiency of the management of human resources in health establishments through critical analysis of organizations, activity of hospitals, motivational programs and incentives; the evaluation of the study, selection, appointment and development of medical specialists. They are formed conclusions and recommendations on the role of motivation to improve satisfaction of medical specialists from work and quality of healthcare. In conclusion, the proposed recommendations to the Ministry of Health, Bulgarian Medical Association, Association of Healthcare Professionals. This work gives clarity managers of health facilities, determining the motivation of doctors and health care professionals.

Tsvetelina Mihaylova holds a PhD in Social Medicine and Organization of Health. Assistant Public Health Faculty to MU-Sofia. She has over 30 scientific publications, participation in national and international projects, conferences and seminars. She is a member of the National Association for Health Policy and Management and Art Therapy.
