The study results focused on the following areas; utilization of strategic human resource management and role of strategic human resource in civil society organizations in Malawi. The study dwelt much on following topical areas within strategic human resource Management; utilization of staff and management performance appraisals, Performance improvement plans, labour turnover in civil society organizations, how to managing people , development of human resource/ workforce, availability of human resource strategies and human resource policies in civil society organizations, labour stability index , labour turnover, vitalization of strategic human resource plan, strategic human resource planning, valuing of strategic human resource , motivation of human resources, underutilization of strategic human resource , human resource inventory and levels of industrial disputes in civil society organizations amongst other issues. The study also examined reasons pertaining to underutilization of strategic human resource management and how to reduce/alleviate the problem in civil society organizations.(CSO).
