Root Surface Biomodification

Traditional approach for the treatment of infected root surface include scaling and root planing. but this approach seem to be insufficient to provide new attachment.Over the years, many techniques have been attempted to increase the connective tissue reattachment to tooth roots following periodontal treatment. Biomechanical root preparation is one among the major developments over the last 20 years. The conditioning is intended to decontaminate, detoxify and demineralize the root surface, removing the smear layer and exposing collagen matrix.Such approach increases the possibilities New Attachment and better treatment outcome.
