Roshnara

"Roshnara" is an ode to the Golden Age of Hindi cinema as it pays tribute to its most luminous star Roshnara. Having captivated four generations of movie fans with her hypnotic aura she is now ready to stage a dramatic comeback. Along comes NRI writer-director Suraj on a nostalgic homecoming in India. He was once an assistant of Roshnara's star husband Mehtab before his tragic death in a car crash. But turning his dream project into reality is not easy in fickle Bollywood. Suraj only comes across obstacles and pitfalls. He uses all his wits and guile to make contact with the neurotic legend. Old memories surface as the archaic studios and theatres fall apart around them. Can Suraj penetrate her secret mystery and turn the clock back one last time is the million rupee question only Roshnara and her fate can answer.
