Wilson's identity erodes as Martian agents capture him and integrate him into a biomechanical system. Re-designated as OV-9, he endures years of neural reprogramming, biochemical manipulation, and psychological torture. Fitted with a living exosuit and transformed into the powerful Rudy Man, Wilson is placed inside a perfect simulation of Glasgow-his home city-inhabited by synthetic clones. Tasked with eliminating "infected" civilians, Wilson hesitates upon recognizing a memory, prompting a rupture in the simulation. This act of rebellion reveals to the Martians a dangerous truth: Wilson retains empathy. He is removed from deployment and placed into stasis.Eventually reawakened and returned to Earth under surveillance, Wilson begins questioning reality. When three Martian Elites descend to eliminate or reclaim him, Wilson undergoes a violent transformation, defeating his attackers and exposing his powers. Falsely perceived as a rogue threat, he is hunted by Earth's authorities and the media, who are manipulated by Martian clones designed to impersonate and discredit him. Amid the chaos, Wilson reconnects with his former partner, Sausan, and seeks the daughter he's never known.
