High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles! Rujm Al-Malfouf is one of a series of watchtowers from the Ammonite kingdom in modern day Amman, Jordan. Built in the first half of the first millennium BCE, the watchtower is located on Jabal Amman. Rujm Al-Malfouf is next to the Jordanian Ministry of Antiquities. Ammon (Hebrew: , Modern Ammon Tiberian Ammôn ; "People"; Arabic: ; Transliteration: Ammon), also referred to as the Ammonites and children of Ammon, was an ancient nation which, according to the Old Testament and other sources[citation needed], occupied an area east of the Jordan River, Gilead, and the Dead Sea, in present-day Jordan. The chief city of the country was Rabbah or Rabbath Ammon, site of the modern city of Amman, Jordan's capital. Milcom and Molech (perhaps one and the same) are named in the Bible as the gods of Ammon.
