RURAL ELECTRIFICATION AND MICRO-ENTERPRISES PERFORMANCES

The introduction of the MDGs (2000-2015) has led to the increase of the global attention in making energy use being the universal right for everyone in the course of eradicating extremely poverty in most of the developing countries. The agenda became a significant tool in rural poverty eradication through electricity which has proven to reduce chronic health challenges and enhance public safety. Moreover, with the contribution of Micro-Entreprises in the global and developing countries' economy; electricity has attained significant role in the reduction of business running costs and later enhance wealth accumulation that has influenced the geometric expansion of rural businesses. This book has economically analyze effects of Rural Electrification Programs in Tanzania in the eye of SMEs performances by the use of Ordered Logistic Model and conducting Brant and Oparallel Tests simulteneous. The book has clearly shown the need for the international and multilateral institutions to increase financial and technical support for energy sector to these indebted developing countries' where rural poverty has found to double that of urban areas if there is a true quest of poverty eradication.
