Rural Electrification using Solar Photovoltaic System in Pakistan
Details
Energy harvesting using the renewable energy sources has been an area of research for more than 3 decades. Extensive work has been done on the techniques and methodologies to increase the output levels of various sources of energy like wind, Geothermal, and PV. The work presented here contains the analysis and the design of Inverters, Boost converter and the MPPT. Furthermore an extensive survey of the Solar array manufacturers has been given for the economical analysis of a photovoltaic system for a load of 4 kW. The present scenario of renewable energy usage in Pakistan is also discussed in the light of present energy crisis in the country.

Hadeed Ahmed Sher was born on September 04,1984 in Faisalabad,Pakistan.He did his B.Sc Electrical Engg. from B.Z University, Multan in 2006 and M.Sc Electrical Engineering from UET, Lahore,in 2008. He is currently working towards his Doctoral degree in King Saud University, Riyadh,KSA.His research areas are Power Electronics and Renewable energy.
