Details
The booklet explores Russia's influence on international politics on the basis of systemic and historical approaches and answers the question of why a country with a resource economy is one of the leading states in international politics. The brochure begins by defining Russia as a special actor and phenomenon in world politics and highlights its characteristics as a special actor in international politics. Then it shows how it qualitatively changed the world politics in the course of the twentieth century, the historical contradictions of Russian modernization are outlined. As a result of a system that includes the export of strategic raw materials, the activation of human capital, the policy of strengthening the international importance of Russia, the creation, production and use of high-tech and conventional weapons, Russia has become a special actor in world politics. Russia's possession of nuclear weapons, its vast territory and population, its patriotism, and its political system form the necessary conditions for the functioning of this system.
