The country has won two of the Big Four pageants, Miss Universe (2002) and Miss World (1992 and 2008). Three Miss Europe(1933 , 1999 and 2002). It has yet to produce a winner in Miss International and Miss Earth. A beauty contest, or beauty pageant, is a competition based mainly on the physical beauty of its contestants, although such contests often incorporate personality, talent, and answers to judges' questions as judged criteria. The phrase almost invariably refers only to contests for women; similar events for men are called by other names and are more likely to be "body building" contests.
