Russia in Central Asia

This book has traced the origin of the Russian settlement in Central Asia during the Tsar period and their subsequent expansion in the Soviet period. In the Tsar period Russians came mostly as traders and merchants with sole motto to develop trade relation with Central Asians. But with the passage of time, the imperial designs of Russia came to the forefront. The focus of the book is, however, the role of Russians in the Socio-economic development of the entire region of Central Asia. Being a part of our research work, the book is a Peer Reviewed work of the authors.
