This collection of articles analyses newspaper publications in the British press of the 20th century devoted to the outstanding impresario S. Diaghilev. This collection of articles is dedicated to the outstanding British press and to the outstanding British impresario Sergei Diaghilev and his unrivalled personality, who is indissolubly linked with the triumph of Russian ballet in the West. The unique works of the Russian theatrical art are presented to us through the eyes of the European press. We also talk about the origins of style à la russe, its formation and its influence on the trends of European fashion of the beginning of the 20th century, as well as about the emergence of high quality "couture" clothing, which put costume in the late 19 and early 20 centuries on a new level of formation in the scale of arts and crafts.
