Sadler''s Robber (Brycinus sadleri) is a ray-finned fish species in the family Alestiidae. It is found in Burundi, Kenya, and Uganda. Its natural habitats are rivers and freshwater lakes. It is not considered a threatened species by the IUCN. The ray-finned fishes are so called because they possess lepidotrichia or "fin rays", their fins being webs of skin supported by bony or horny spines ("rays"), as opposed to the fleshy, lobed fins that characterize the class Sarcopterygii which also, however, possess lepidotrichia.
