Safahat is the work of an eminent Turkish national poet, Mehmet Akif Ersoy who is one of the last classic poets of Turkish literature. These 7 books are; Safahat (Articles, 1911), Süleymaniye Kürsüsünde (1912), Hakk n Sesleri (1913), Fatih Kürsüsünde (1914), Hat ralar (1917), As m (1924), Gölgeler (1933). Mehmet Âkif Ersoy (1873, Constantinople - 27 December 1936, Istanbul) was a Turkish poet of Albanian and Uzbek origin from Pe , Kosovo, author, academic, member of parliament, and the poet of the Turkish National Anthem. Widely regarded as one of the premiere literary minds of his time, Ersoy was further noted for his command of the Turkish language, as well as his patriotism and piousness and his support for the Turkish War of Independence.
