The film, originally, aired on ABC and was aired, repeatedly, on the Disney Channel in 1999. It was also released to VHS.Scout (Bug Hall) admires the safety patrol, dreaming of becoming a member. However, his clumsy, bumbling, hazardous nature prevents him from doing so. He is shunned by the safety patrol, but due to a bizarre accident he became the next safety patrol member. Before he begins his first day on the safety patrol, his principal gets the school boundaries changed and Scout begins attending a new junior high.
