Sample size estimation in clinical trials presents recently developed statistical procedures of sample size estimations for Safety and Efficacy (SE) Studies and Comparison of Treatment Efficacy (CTE) trials in three kinds of response variables Dichotomous, Continuous and Time to failure (survival) response variable. This work focuses the advantage of new sample size formulas in the design of a clinical trial. With useful recently developed sample size formulas and concern SAS Macros for estimating sample size, it enables readers to quickly find out the sample size for his experiment.
