The document is a manual for SAP MDG data migration and provides recommendations for best practices when working with MDG, consolidation and mass processing. This presentation of SAP MDG migration is aimed at IT colleagues as well as employees in SAP MDG projects and describes the application of MDG migration, taking into account the functions of the "MDG Consolidation & Mass Processing" tool in the context of integration with SAP MDG, including the migration of inventory data (business partners and material). During this migration, it is pointed out that the inventory data is only migrated to the MDG Consolidation tool (staging area) with the involvement of the data service and information steward and then subsequently to SAP MDG. This sequence is the basis for ensuring data quality. A migration without including the MDG consolidation function leads to considerable problems in master data quality and data security and can easily be described as a botched migration!
