Markovi? ?tedimlija was a Montenegrin -Croatian nationalist publicist and writer, best-known for his revisionist theories on the origins of the Montenegrin people. He actively worked in the fascist Usta?e movement during World War II and was tried for Nazi collaboration after World War II. ?tedimlija was born in either 1906 or 1907 in Stijena near Podgorica, Montenegro. He had remained in Zagreb to the rest of his life. Markovi? ?tedimlija was a great admirer of Croatian historian Ivo Pilar and dedicated his whole life to Pilar's research and continuation of his work, dedicating to proving the existence of a Montenegrin nation, totally separate from the Serbian.
