In this era of think small or think big one would instinctively simply scale down or scale up the size of all machineries to a device to make it small or big.It is true that nothing is there to stop one from downsizing or amplifying the device components to make the device undersized or oversized. Some serious fall out wiill be there of scaling down or scaling up many physical quantities.This book will present, with selected cases,the scaling laws that will make engineers aware of both positive and negative physical consequences of scaling down or scaling up machines and devices.Miniaturizing or amplified machines and physical systems is an ongoing effort in Human civilization.This endeavor has been intensified in recent years as market demands for: Intelligent,Multi-functional and Low cost consumer products has become stronger than ever.The only answer to produce these consumer products is either to wrap up many components into the product making it obligatory to miniaturize each individual component or make it amplified with gigantic construction.Miniaturization or amplification of physical systems is a lot more than just scaling down or scaling up device components in sizes.
