Scattered Reflections in a Concert Hall Enhancing Subjective Preference

After the initial rough sketch by means of the image method and the theory of subjective preference, this book may provide useful guidelines for enhancing acoustic quality at seating areas in settings where obstacles influence the path of scattered reflections. It incudes, for example: 1) Scattered reflections from uneven surface. 2) Fractal geometry for desired directional reflections. 3) Effects of canopies above the stage. 4) Method of eliminating well-known a large attenuation over seats and the floor. 5) Stage-Enclosure shapes to decrease the IACC at seating areas. 6) Effects of scattered reflection of circular columns of sidewalls and of stage wall.
