The book presents a comprehensive overview of the depiction of mammals in ancient Egyptian scenes. It employs a descriptive- comparative methodology to discern the differences between the scenes of the Old Kingdom private tombs at Saqqara and the New Kingdom private tombs at Thebes regarding types of mammals, their implications, their forms, and their attitudes.
