School Library Service in the 21st Century at Visva-Bharati University

Basically, Academic libraries are staring with School Library, then College Library and finally at the apex University Library. But in reality, there is no interlink even co-ordination among these three library services. This policy itself has not clear about the same. of the academic library. School students actually introduced with themselves for the first times with the term 'Library'. Therefore the school library need be made in such a way that the students can learn logically about how to use the library? But unfortunately the actual condition is quite adverse, i.e. most of the school library suffers from minimum requirement to offer service in a satisfactory level. As a starting point of the academic library school library must be equipped at the minimum level in terms of the requirements of the users of the 21st century. We are living in the information society. This study is an attempt to explore the school library services offer by Visva-Bharati (a Central University of national repute). Visva-Bharati has to serve school, college and also university library users under one umbrella, lead by the University Librarian.

M. Ghosh travaille depuis 15 ans dans le même institut, où il occupe actuellement le poste d'assistant professionnel. Il est titulaire d'une licence en chimie, d'une maîtrise en sociologie, d'un MLIS et a également obtenu le NET en 2014. Le Dr Saha occupe le poste de bibliothécaire adjoint à l'université Visva-Bharati. Il a publié plus de 5 livres et 70 articles et possède environ 17 ans d'expérience.
